Chillin' By The Fire While We Eating Fondue / Chocolateria San Churros, Harbourside

HAHAHAHAHS sorry i just felt like Justin Biebering this post I'm sorry.

Soooooooo, today after the Craft Fair, me, Xin and fellow sweet-tooth Kim went to the cult favourite Chocolateria San Churros to taste their churros that have been repeatedly posted and uploaded on Instagram hahahahs.

Walking in the shop, there was a very warm and cosy feeling, with pretty dimmed lights and nice wooden furniture with pillows and all.
But just one thing was pretty disappointing- our table was not cleaned, and so were most of the tables surrounding us. We saw a lady coming around clearing the tables yet she did not even wipe them down, so we huddled to one corner of our table, hoping it was clean ahahhas.

Image from urbansociety.com.au
We already had lunch and only wanted to try out a bit so we ordered the Fondue for Two, which costed $19.95
Fondue For Two
Came with: 6 mini dippin' churros, bowls of bananas, strawberries, nougats, peanut butter, 2 brownies, some pretzels and marshmallows, and a bowl of choc fondue (which you can choose from milk, dark and white)

to be honest the chocolate was preeeeetty sweet (and i dont even know how people could order a huge cup of that and drink it in a whole) which made dipping bananas and nougats into it seem a bit too much. The churros were quite nice though and the pretzels, but i'm pretty sure the pretzels weren't made there.

All in all, it was a nice experience but, judging from the size of the plate (which tbh is pretty small compared to the photo) as well as the chocolate, I don't think it was worth the price we paid. And technically not counting Xin since she could not eat sweets too much, it took me and Kim not very long to finish it all, especially the chocolate as we were only given fondue forks and had quite a bit of chocolate left.

Craft & Quilt Fair Sydney 2013

Heyhey:)

so today the whole textiles class went to the craft and quilt fair at Darling Harbour Exhibition Centre to meet local designers, local textiles/craft sellers as well as learn different techniques of fabric manipulation and textiles manufacturing and getting inspiration for our major projects.
As well as they, they also featured past HSC textile student works so we could gather information as well.

Overall the fair was pretty insightful and there are so many good resources and ideas to pick up  and its not just textiles even. there's even scrapbooking as well as workshops on how to make cards or do pleating as well as manipulating fabric woooot. also, local craft sellers discount their prices so much so you can really grab a lot of info and things as well :)

if you guys are interested, the fair runs until this sunday and tickets are pretty well prices, check out the website or i guess you could just rock up and buy tickets onsite :)

here's some photos cause i ceebs describing everything hahas.

29 & 30

IM NEARLY DONE WITH YOU, YOU SON OF A GUN 30 DAY CHALLENGE.

29. Cutest Thing Anyone's Done For You

omg gah i surround myself with cute people so theres so many instances.

lolol uhm this time when i asked brian to guitarenade me and he's like hahahs ok sure and he practiced a lot and on the day he was too shy to sing and yeah i felt bad making him do it but it was really cute. cause even though he's like gaaah im so embarassed and nervous and he didn't end up singing i was like naaaws at least u put in effort its all good.

when my work buds bought me the Adventure Time Showbag cause i was like gah omg i want it so much yeah.

when alvin made me an origami flower LOLOLOLOL and all the times he's like omg ann you're such a loner lemme hang with you on the train and teach you magic tricks. haahhs year 7 good times.

and omg when xin made me this bag that said GPOY which was our inside joke and i remember her trying to do loads of stenciling on other bags but it didn't work out and this one had a little smudge on it and she was upset but i was like omg that so cute thaaanks.

and my group's bday presents so v.v cute :)

30. Most traumatic experience

I think it would be when I got into a car crash 2 years ago. It was so much my fault cause it was a rainy day and i wanted mum to take me to spotlight but dads like no dont go go some other day and i was like naaaah lemme go i need shit at spotlight so mum took me. And on the way we had to gps there and i was busy texting jasmine and looking at the gps that we nearly passed the right turn but i was like "omg mum turn its this road" and she turned reflexedly and we crashed into the side of a car which was going the other direction. Mum luckily breaked as quick as she could but we smashed the front side of the car and made it steer into a street sign.

To be honest we were so lucky that day. If mum didn't break that quick and if it was low impact and if we bumped them on the side but not the front side, we would've got into so much shit and in that car was a couple, a kid and a grandma so far it was horrendous and if shit happened..yeah. so yeah, so fucking lucky.

I AM DONE FCK YES!. AND THIS IS SO FUCKING GOOD:

26. How many followers do you have?

I really hate it when people ask me that because it's kinda like them having a subtle competition and what not and it's not a number to brag about because it doesn't really matter.
but whatever, just so people would just stop:

246.

27. First 10 songs to play on your shuffle:
ahahs, keep in mind that most of them are still filled with urban hiphop and Miguel so they might be quite explicit:

1. Blue Ocean Floor- Justin Timberlake
2. No Angels- Bastille ft. Ella
3. Blasted- Frank Ocean
4. I Need Your Love- Calvin Harris ft. Ellie Goulding
5. The Silence- Avalanche City
6. Pink Matter- Frank Ocean
7. Treasure - Bruno Mars
8. Ordinary Joe- Nujabes
9. 24KTOWN- DFD
10. Kaleidescope Dream- Miguel.

28.Best friend on tumblr

i really don't use tumblr for socialising ie. messaging to people and making friends. I used to at one point but, knowing me, it ended up in a massive mess. But I guess my best friend would be Sam, who's also my sososos close family friend, and yeah. She doesn't have facebook so we message each other through different medias like text, skype and sometimes tumblr.
She's really rad and doesn't give a crap about what others think of her which i think is pretty awesome cause I still have not learnt how to master that. but here she is:

22. Most recent photo you took

Progress shot- wont be revealed until D-Day soz

That time of the night

1.00AM

Where you can't fall asleep, thinking about something and just feeling like a load of crap cause theres too many thoughts are in your head.

The time of night to visit the past and flick through the photos, the messages, the times.

The time of night to make irritional decisions by typing up long messages to send to them, not thinking about how awkward it would be. But then the thought of being shamed and thought of as idiotic comes to mind and you erase the messages and the thoughts you want to express slowly drift off, yet your mind could mot drift off.

Then you think of what they're doing at this time; would they be busy preparing for the day or would they be the same as you.

And the fucking rain doesnt even help. Bleugh.

FAT FRIDAYS

so, knowing me, i have been going on a lot of food adventure in the last month but haven't blogged about it so here it is, a bootiful compilation.

So on the last friday of exam week, Annie and I decided to head out to the city after our orals to go food gawking. There was the friday markets at Chinatown so Annie became my guide for the food adventure.

Our first stop was this nice food booth in Chinatown that sold Japanese Pancakes. To me it looked like a bigger version of a custard ball with a nice waffle shell. They had 4 flavours available: Red bean, Green Tea, Custard, Cheese, and with a price of 3 for $5, it was a pretty good deal. We got 2 Green Teas and One Custard - for Annie's sis- and the Green Tea tasted absolutely nice.

Then we went to Hana Hana, a jap restaurant at the far end of Chinatown. I've been there before on a trip with the group but never got to eat anything because i was pressed for time, so decided to go dine there. The restaurant is very spacious, with two levels; one for savoury meals and upstairs is like a dessert room.

We ordered the Beef Okonomiyaki, which was like a Jap savoury pancake which was so absolutely nice for such a little price and also got Tempura Flakes and Red Ginger as free sides. And they had a reall good system there as well; if you clean your table up and put all the bowls onto one of the designated shelves, you are able to collect stamps and, once you reach 5, you can give free soba with the next meal. It's a pretty good initiative i reckon.

Then we went upstairs cause Annie wanted to show me the Mochi waffles.

Annie's amazing Photog

We grabbed the Strawberry Mochi Waffle, which came with icecream and whipped cream for around $6. It tasted really nice so I guess it was worth the price.

Hana Hana on Urbanspoon

We then went to Regents Place, a small alleyway which is rich in good authentic food of different backgrounds. Since the day became a little Jap cuisin adventure, Annie took me to Chanoma Cafe, which specializes in pretty much EVERYTHING green tea.

Although it also sells hotdogs, it was our first time coming here to order dessert so we ordered the Matcha Frape ($5.80) and the Matcha Fruit Anmitsu ($6.90)

Annie's fab photo again!

Although it looked so appetizing, we didn't think it was that great. The Matcha Frappe is quite bitter- maybe a good thing for the Matcha freaks- and although the top of the Anmitsu looked amazing, underneath was filled with plain jelly cubes and the thick syrup was not much help. The small bowl was not worth the $6.90 price to be honest.

And then i got pressed on time and had to leave again hahas. But that marks me and Annie's first food adventure wootdawoooooot.

Chanoma Cafe on Urbanspoon

yesterday was me and kim's food adventure number idek hahas.
We initially wanted to go on the monorail because we had a coupon that would expire today, and I wanted to show her some nice food at the friday markets, but we ended up adlib-ing our trip.

we went to get our 1litre meetfresh first as our drink. Which costed us $6. It was quite worth the price but the dodgy cup ended up breaking and spilted some of the drink on our way walking to the monorail.

I also took Kim to buy the Jap pancakes and we got the the Red Bean, Green Tea, and Custard one. The Red Bean tasted okay but we prefered the Green Tea above all.

Also snacked at Maccas hahahas.

Food Junkies
Went 1 and a half circles on the monorail and half of our trip was in a carriage by ourselves so it was pretty fun and we made a documentary hahahs.

Then hiked back to Bankstown to get some froyo even though our stomachs could barely fit anymore.

fun times on fat fridays :)

GOOD MORNING

It is finally June.
And here is the my June Mix, full of alternate jams, remixes, as well as some chillstep.
Hope you guys enjoy this little mix and keep watching this space because I will be updating the mix as the month rolls on.

22. Lyrics of your favourite song

But we're both a long way from home
We got the windows down, the radio's on, always

I wrote a letter to the sky saying maybe one day you'll get to kiss me
My girl found it in the car and said baby why you trying to diss me?
Cause you know you're my baby, you know you're my baby, ooh
I'm not just in it for the ride, in it for the ride, yeah

23. Have you ever been cheated on?
Nope.

24. Thought on cheating
Definitely not.
I find it such a cheap temporary 'solution' to a relationship problem. If you're sick of your girl/boy then tell them about it.
Yeah kay cheat on them with someone else. It might be more fun and exciting and all that shit but when people figure out you're just going to be thought of as the most stupid/dishonest/unworthy person to be with. So would you rather people call you a cheat/jerk/slut behind your back and get all that stigma or at least give you kudos for dealing with your problems in a more mature way?
